Lifestyle intervention for infant's gastroesophageal reflux in Persian Medicine

Abstract

Associated with signs, symptoms, and complications, the gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) stands as an exacerbated and pathologic form of backward movement of stomach contents into the esophagus.
Due to high prevalence of this disease and side effects of drugs in infants, it is necessary to find simple remedies for prevention and reduce the complications of GERD. including:
1. Mother's life style and nutritional intervention, that is the most important factor in the treatment of infants.
2. Infant's lifestyle modification and physical manipulations
a. Breastfeeding modification
b. infant's sleep and importance of cradle
c. Bathing and body massage with oil
